I am now in Toowoomba.

I am now in Toowoomba. Again. I didn't actually tell anyone this, but I was in Toowoomba from Tuesday to Thursday a well. After a quick detour back to Bris to say to my homies at centrelink and spend friday night re-blogging I made it back here yesterday afternoon just in time to say Hi to the chikkins (photos to come) and go to the Windle Party!

The Windles decided to have a big party thing. Fine with me. Phil called me just before I left Brisbane to get me to bring my sax. Even though I only brought my electric one and synth it almost doubled the weight of stuff I was carrying. Damn I've got into this travelling light thing. I'm a convert. I don't know how I survived without it for all those years.

Anyway... where was I? Oh yes, the party. Got there with Phil. Feeling a little underdressed in my gucci shirt and matching cardi so I radioed in for something a little spiffier to be brought by Mum and Dad then grooved on down to let the socialising begin.

Todd and Kissy Harm were the first people I saw. Managed to get a couple of minutes with them before I was grabbed by Phil to make sure I could set up my sax. Managed to get a DI box to plug into, which was a great relief. Had the usual oohing and aahing and Q&A session, then adjourned to get some drinking action before it was interrupted by playing music.

Scrooty turned up and I became part of a hybrid fusion band made up from about 5 years worth of grammar peops and other miscellaneous chickies. There were a couple of girls singing (who were both fantastic) as well as many other full time and part time singers. I surprised myself by actually remembering some songs that I haven't played in 3 years. Well actually I didn't think I'd remembered them until the music started and my fingers just took over.

We played a whoole load of music and in between managed to get in some really quality drinking (more than enough Hahn Premium for 150 people, not an inexpensive task) and hanging out with people, both old and young. Loads of the cooler group of teachers were there, many cool parents and music lovers. Todd and Chris led the way in the dancing to the band (Todd looking tres-groovy in Sesame St shirt).

Too many things happened to write them all down. I could write a novel about that party, so I'm just going to stop. I'm not in the mood for writing a novel. Suffice to say that it was one of the best parties I have ever been to. Right up there with my 18th.

Today I woke up with a shite hangover and tried to get some decent sleep in my stifling room. Eventually arose to have some breakfast that Mum had cooked. Made me feel sick. Mum and Dad left to go to Kendall's gallery opening (which I definitely was not up to), so I crashed in their bedroom which was much cooler up among the trees.

Eventually dragged myself out of bed. We had Lizbeth over for dinner and hung around.

Lazy end to a great weekend, despite my hangover.

Not sure what's going on this week. I'm going to finish my resume as quickly as I can though. Need money, need job. Now.
