Hello and welcome to Thursday,

Hello and welcome to Thursday, the day we return to our regularly scheduled programming. I have a feeling that it may also be another one of those days where I wake up, do a bunch of stuff and then go back to sleep.
Weird Al made that up, I'm just saying it cause he's cool.
and now for the News:

So COG (a.k.a. crushed-out-girl, #themp3alt's resident bitch and my personal love toy) gave me some linx0ring goodness. Personally I'd just as quickly go some sexor from her, but she lives in Sydney and I live in BrisVegas and she told me to go fuck myself when I asked her, so I guess I'll just have to settle for the link.

COG linked (sorry, linxored) me cause Amanda (of ValidateThis "fame") linked her, and suddenly she realised that it was time to hit the baby up with some content! Not sure how she comes to decide that a link to my extensive ramblings constitutes content, but if she takes the link down I'll never talk to her ever again.

Speaking of links and content and all that other crap, I managed to lose the new design I was working on in Saturday's massive hard drive abortion thing, so fuck! Have to wait a little while longer to have some form imposed on this chaos. I'm also thinking I might move the site from my little server in the burbs, hosted on my cable connection, to somewhere that won't impact on my FUCKING DOWNLOAD LIMIT!

(I hate you telstra)

Something crazy happened at work today. I started getting all these emails in, and doing actual, real, fulfilling work for a change. I actually sorta liked it. This may have been God punishing me for fucking up and being late this morning though, although I will admit that it was a pretty classy way of being late to work:

So here's the thing - My manager Pete has this roster fetish. Not only does he release rosters 2 damn months before they're actually required (yes, I know when I'm working in mid-november) he has a habit of changing them around. Big fucking surprise seeing that most of us don't organize our lifes 2 weeks ahead.
So the roster I thought was the most recent one (I think the 4th update in as many weeks) had me working this afternoon. So I didn't go to bed until about 4ish last night, safe in the knowledge that I would get plenty of sleep.
About three hours later the phone rings asnd the following conversation ensues:
[FX: Mobile phone ringing, someone fumbles blindly to find the damn thing and make the noise stop]
James: [Newly awake and dopey as fuck] Hello thisis James
Pete: [too cheerful] Hey James how are you today
James: [no idea who he is talking to] Erm, great, thanks
Pete: That's good. Are you thinking of coming in to work today?
James: [rapidly waking up now] Huh? What's the time?
Pete: seven o'clock
At this stage I still think I'm supposed to be working in the afternoon, so I think I've managed to sleep all day without waking up and it's now night time... From a bed in an apartment with heavy curtains 7AM and 7PM look remarkably similar
James: AM or PM?
Pete: PM.
James: Aren't I supposed to be working in the afternoon.
Pete: Nope, the roster has been changed.
James: Aah. Figures. Ok. I'll be there in half an hour.

Whoops. I don't feel too bad though, there was a staff breakfast on and Pete had (once again) decided that James would be lumped with working while everyone else in the entire office has fun. Fucker.

In other news, I chatted to the lovely Leigh (don't have a link for Leigh, she says that she doesn't have a personal site, but I don't believe her) for quite a while in between sending support emails to new users of Devil (newest product released by the company I work for). Leigh works in the same company, so we talked like lovers reunited. Actually we talked like people who are sitting at computers and are bored with working.

My music collection is starting to recover, the radiant Luke was nice enough to siphon some music in to my life. When I say "some" what I actually mean is "nearly three gigs of empyfree album madness," so he's definitely going to be in my will.

Might be time to do some redesigning. Ok, here goes.

P.s. Rowland is my homie. Yup.
