I've been slack the last couple of days. Call it a holiday, but actually the reasons are much deeper than that. I've had the opportunity to post, but I just didn't know what to say. You see. I did something terrible on Saturday morning. Something that I never thought I'd do, and I'm not sure how long i'll take to recover from it really.

It was tiredness that caused this it really, along with a dose of stupidity and a little frustration, but I know I wouldn't have done it if I'd had the brains to just go to sleep instead of persisting.

... I formatted the wrong hard drive. Instead of killing the one with half of a Windows XP installation, I formatted the one with all of my stuff backed up on it.

All of my art from the last 6 months
3 years worth of email messages
10 gigs of mp3s
Settings
Address books
Fonts
Favourites
Movies
and worst of all, things that I don't even know I've lost yet.

So I hope you'll understand me
being a little lax
it's not the best time
my muse has fled
or I may have killed her
I may never know
I'm working slowly
picking up the pieces one at a time
trying to make the edges meet
nothing fits anymore
