Roit. Well I've started writing this 3 times now, and this time I'm doing it in Notepad so it doesn't fucking crash on me.
Hmmm.
~looks at last couple of posts~

~does a little work~
Yep. Ok. So last you knew I was buggering off to hang out with the lovely Lydia for the afternoon. Caught the slow bus, then did the world's coolest ninja-buschange at a busway station - off slow bus and onto fast bus in about 30 seconds - way cool move.
I met her @ Garden City where we hung out, stuffed around, checked out CDs, DVDs, books, deli, Anime, then buggered off to a coffee shop for coffee and cheesecake. Coffee shop wasn't really my style - too much light, not enough couches - but the coffee was ok and the cheesecake was pretty tasty.
Then her friend Dylan and boyfriend Matt turned up. Much talking ensued, they had some beers while we went off to buy foodish supplies. Then we all jumped into the shaggin' wagon to go to Matt's house.
Drinking was had, then I cooked yummy burritos with maximum mushrooms. Lydis also did asparagus which was fantastic (I miss asparagus). Miscellaneous friends and flatmates turned up and we all set about listening to music, talking bollocks and drinking beers. Eventually everyone left or crashed until L and I were left watching Hercules Returns. Only one of us made it to the end of the movie though... I'll give you a hint, it was the one who wasn't me.
I love watching people who are asleep - the sounds and movements they make. Carly says that I look like I'm playing computer games when I'm asleep. Not sure where that comes from as I rarely dream or anything, but I digress.
Friday morning I slept until Matt started playing drums in the next room while Lydia prodded me awake. Had a lazy morning reading and hanging out until D-man decided that it was time for him to take some packages into the train station and would-I-like-a-lift-into-the-city?
So I got home eventually, which is where you found me last - returned home and about to install a spankin new OS on my baby. 4:00pm Friday.
Backup, format, reinstall, all went swimmingly until the time came to actually copy the XP files onto the drive. CD was corrupted. Many important files didn't get copied. James was completely unsurprised when WinXP failed to load.
But I didn't really have time to cry as I was off to the Mercure for Carly's pre-formal drinks thing. Made me remember why I don't like school formals very much. Girls complimenting each other with one breath and slagging each other off with the other, guys being cockheads.
Left the Mercure with my Electric Sax for Centra where the Beagles were playing for the UQ EUS ball. Pretty fun gig. Steve and I sung/played on the dancefloor as the stage was pretty damn small. This was ok, but the crowd was pretty shit. Some funky groovers there, but most of them would only dance to the crap the surly DJ was playing.
To quote the Props and Miss Bassey, "Some people won't dance if they don't know who's singing"
To quote the Jaymis, "Losers"
We played two sets, packed up, and set about getting drunk. When the drinks were stopped @ 11:30 Benson, Steve, Bella and I ditched our stuff at the reception at Centra (I had much fun writing out the Cloakroom receipt "Electric Saxophone, Bag, Smelly blanket") and made our way over to the Trans (yuck) where I hadn't been since 1st year at college. This was dodgy but fun, all the ball-goers were on the top floor, so I hung out with Bella and Steve until Bella dragged me onto the dancefloor to give her a good grinding.
Now I must mentions a few pertinent things about this particular d-floor, some good and some bad:
- It has groovy red and yellow lights underneath that flash most alarmingly (This can be either good or bad, depending on how drunk you are)
- It was totally packed with people, and raised a foot off the ground (as above)
- It smelled quite a bit like vomit (this is rarely a good thing. If you do think this is a good thing please don't tell me about it
So we got some major grooves on, gave each other sultry looks and basically did things that co-bandmembers shouldn't really do, then pissed off upstairs again.
Eventually we all decided to leave, so I grabbed my Sax, bid the others adieu and pissed of home.
It's a bit of a walk back to my place when you're dnurk. Most of the time I was thinking about how hungry I was, and how fantastic the toasted cheese sandwhich that I was going to make when I got home was going to be. I got here, laid myself down on Mr Bed and thought, "Yeah, toasted sandwhich with roasted tomato and basil..."
Next thing I know it's 7am, I'm lying on my bed fully clothed, I have my shoes on, my wallet in my pocket, my keys in my hand, the light is still on and I'm sorta lying on a packet of felafel mix. 15 minutes after I'm supposed to start work. So I do the only thing I can do - call up the guys at work, say "Hey, I'm running a bit late" and go back to sleep for 45 minutes.
Work, I believe, was rather boring. It tends to be on weekends. Managed to find a rom of Final Fantasy V though, which made me into a happy James. I hadn't ever played even one final fantasy game before, so it was an education for me. I'm actually hankering to get someone who's there @ the moment to send it to me now so I can play all night.
So where was I? Oh, yes, that'd make it Saturday afternoon. Got home after 5 as I stayed a little late to keep Webby company. Got changed while ringing Rainer to see if he was going to be passing through the city on his way to the city. He was, and - even cooler - he had a car! Hurrah!
Normal crazy night @ Jum's. We dropped into Emmanuel first to pick up Pandy and Gill. Rainer went off to find Gill while I dissappeared to PAndrew's place to fing him and Batty all asleep and snuggly on his bed. Perfect time for Jaymis to drag them out, pester them, talk bollocks, jump around, giggle, torment and browbeat them until they decided to come to Jum's. After getting changed Batty decided that she might like to go to the movies with the rest of the wing though, they took too long to decide, so I made Andrew flip a coin. It was heads.
So they didn't accompany Rainer and I to Jum's place, where we stayed for a while until the time came to go get a fish burger meal deal @ the ville with Dr Hugh. Ate, went back to college to pick up Gill and forced Pandy and Batty to come as Jum was very dissappointed in them.
Had much fun and drinkies (as always happens at Jum's place). Jum made apple pie for everyone (everyone in this case being Radar, Jum, Krissy, Pandy, Batty, Gill, Danny, PizzaHutNicks, two more of Kissy's nursing friends and myself) to eat and chopped Strawberry Daquaris (he has no blender) to drink.
Danny alternately tuned and baited Krissy's skinny Journalist friend, who was quite stunning to look at but quick to anger and opinionated in that loud, ranty kind of way, so I let him do his business. We watched part of "Fear an Loathing in Las Vegas" (couldn't remember the title, so I did a search for +movie +lsd +"las vegas" on google... I found it) until I had to leave to catch the last bus back into the city.
Work Sunday. Bored. By myself. I recall making a great toasted turkish bread + 3 cheeses sandwhich and playing some FF5, also read Gord's site, but that's about all. I came home and crashed into bed for a couple of hours, woke up for a bit, then couldn't get back to sleep.
Today I woke up and decided that I needed to wear a tie. I don't actually have to wear a tie at work any more and I tend to dress as funkily/scruffily as I can and still get away with it, so this decision was sort of a shock to me. It also shocked quite a few people at work, especially Pete my Manager, who was off guard all day because of it.
Now I am home, I have slept for some hours, seen Phil, Luci and Jake, and FINALLY AM NEAR TO COMPLETING THIS POST!
I shall now make roasted tomatoes and felafels.
You are loved.
