Well it has been a pretty cool day all things considered. Drive down was great - Coxy (James) and I managed to catch up on most of the last year of each other's lives. I managed to lose my packet of sauce for my pie for the entire trip only to find it when we arrived at his house. Shit.
We bought some herbs for his Mum's birthday and planted them in her garden. Hung out. Ate food. Talked bollocks. Went vaguely shopping and then met my Parental Units at the warehouse cafe for coffees. James pissed off to have birthday hangings-out with his family and I stayed at the cafe with mine for dinner.
Since then I have read Dad's backlog of computer magazines, watched a documentary on Australian music, finished my book and become covered from eyebrow to toenail with hair from the cats, who have obviously missed me.
Only bad thing - He called me back to talk about what was happening later tonight, and to bestow upon me the realisation that he - and because of that I - would not be going back to Bris tonight. Or in the morning. Shit. Wish we'd talked this bit through this morning, so I could have packed some clothing, or even better not come at all so I don't have to catch a fucking bus in the morning.
Damn I hate busses. I don't really like normal city busses, and I despise inter-city ones. They make my knees sore.
I guess I'll be able to have breakfast with the family, that'll be pretty cool.
No cable though, and I have to put off my reinstall from tonight. That's not very cool.
My computer is missing me! I can hear it crying out in anguish.
