I have my new keyboard, whoo. So it was about 5 days late, I can deal with that, I am not a bitter person who would give someone negative feedback on ebay just because they sent me a product a whole 5 days later than they said they were going to...

... Actually, that's true, I didn't leave negative feedback for it, yes, I am too damn kind.

I'm having a little trouble getting used to this baby, but it's not as bad as I had expected. At least it has a full space bar - I have been using a num lock key as space bar on my old keyboard, so my right hand is too far over to the left. It's also got this zero degree tilt dealie which logitech seem to think is the best thing since buggery was legalized (for consenting adults). I'm not sure I agree with them at the moment, it feels like I'm reaching down into my desk, just like Neo did to restart... oh, you might not have seen it yet... Pay no attention to that last sentence. And don't think too hard about what my hands would come into contact with if they were to reach down through my desk.

I haven't installed the iTouch software dealie yet, actually, I'm about to as it's downloaded from the L'tech site. So all the special buttons and stuff will be working soon. The scroll wheel and the volume turntable thingy work already, and they're pretty ok, but I think I'm going to have to spend a little time figuring out what's the best way for everything to be set up so I can get the most from this $80 chunk of black and silver love.

The keys feel really nice though, and I seem to be typing a little faster when I'm not frantically backspacing because my hands were both 1 key over to the left.

In other news:

Jum was watching over me when I was going through the extremely stressful "Should I change from life.jaymis.com to just jaymis.com" period (I'm still not out of my blue period) (Just a little artist humour there), and he was exremely cool and kind and thoughtful and made me a handy dandy little 88x31 link button to make sure that people know what's going on and don't get confused, it's meant to be placed above my original link button, as so:

He's also got a fantastic little javascript banner thingy scrolling in the status bar when you're at his blog page. Usually I hate those things because they prevent me from seeing where the link I'm about to click is going to take me, but that one has my name in it, so it's pretty cool.

Note to budding web creatures - you know who you are Doug, Adam - usually you shouldn't display an image like that if it's hosted at someone else's site, but Noombies and Jaymis are both located on the same server, and using up the same bandwidth (mine, just in case you're wondering), so I'm allowed to break that general rule. This will work fine until Jum gets rid of my cool button off his server and leaves me with the dreaded red x. Like my button is on his site at the moment. What's with that Jum? Don't you love me anymore?

Time to restart so I can configure this thing to no longer be a keyboard, but a weapon.
