Last time I wrote about stuff I had a plan. I was in Germany. I had booked some tickets which would get me to Ireland. The Girlthing was there. Everything seemed pretty straightforward: 2 weeks in Austria, then on to the land of leprechaun jockeys.
Now I'm in Austria. I've changed my tickets to leave in October instead of tomorrow, and the Girlthing is coming here. This is a superb setup.
I'm staying in Waidring now (when pronouncing keep in mind that Deutsch speakers pronounce W as V). It's a rather intensely cute villiage surrounded by mountains and pine trees. There are streams, lakes filled with crystal clear water that's both drinkable and only 0.7° above freezing. There's still weissbier, but a lot less french fries. There are no tigers to speak of. Apart from the lack of tigers everything is pretty much idyllic, and on Monday we're taking that idyl and we're slamming that baby into defcon fifty seven. We are going to get our idyl on
So I've got all sorts of interesting work to do. We're talking DVDs, and websites, and networks, and having cool ideas. Yes people, "having cool ideas" is a job description for some.
The family I'm staying with are, well, awesome. They have excellent taste in all sorts of things, like me cooking lots of great food for them, and the kids are all way cool when they're not bickering with each other. I've taken some photos, but I've got other stuff to do so they'll be in the gallery eventually.
In summary: Everything is cool. I make awesome pineapple strawberry and mint frappes.
Are you still coming here? October is a much better time to come here. I will be very un-busy then.
