I just walked to the valley 7-11 to pick up a supersaver card with which to call Jade in a couple of hours. Took my mp3 player to listen to The Mars Volta on the way there. On the way were the usual charming drunk people, which is something headphone wearing helps to alleviate - the only thing I really heard on the way there was possibly a girl calling me a "try hard". As I said, people are charming.

On the way back however everything was inoffensive and dare I say normal (well normal for a Sunday morning at 4am in the valley) until I got to my street. Half way to my house I noticed a lump on the side of the road. There are plenty of lumps on the side of the road at the moment as council are doing one of their "leave your random junk on the side of the road and we'll pick it up" drives sometime soon. This lump was different however, as it consisted of two human forms lying prone in the missionary position. Fully clothed (that I could see) but motionless and looking basically asleep.

I'm guessing that the party in the neighbourhood which had a live band until 12ish and music pumping until 3ish must have finally broken up.
